Okay this picture is way sick. I like the simplicity, but at the same time I think it could use more things, I don't know. It's just how I take it, it could/does look cool both ways. This photo is in the composition of rule of thirds, because it is in the intersection of the top right corner. Since there isn't anything else in the picture, your eye is directly drawn to the lamp. This picture is also really in focus, so it is really sharp and easy on the eyes. Its exposure is basically perfect because it is an outdoor photo so it uses natural light. The shadow is dark too, so it makes it look really sweet. The coloring is realistic, because it is at your house, so this picture definitely feels/looks right ad natural. You don't really get an emotional appeal with this photo however, because it's just, ya know an outside light. You could've maybe made it a bit under exposed so it looks more dark and mysterious. That would be way cool, and would connect you more with the photo, and make it feel more like there was a story behind it. I really like the outdoor/sunlight because it makes the photo look more natural and the colors blend well together. It also makes the shadow look more natural. Like I said early, maybe you could've taken the photo at a later time, or tuned down the exposure to make the picture more "moody." I think that would be really interesting and make it more intense. You could feel a connection with the photographer (you) even more. All in all, this is a fantastic picture. Everything just, flows. NICE
